Hi, I’m Jane Obi

As a Nigerian immigrant who came to the U.S. at 8, I understand the challenges of navigating two cultures and the grief that comes with leaving your home behind. In America I often felt "not Black enough" yet "not Nigerian enough" . This confusion of identity led me to chase perfectionism and overachievement, leaving me exhausted and unfulfilled. Through therapy and my faith, I learned to embrace my true self and find peace and rest.

When I answered the call to become a counselor, I thought “if I could help just one person, feel as liberated, unburdened, and as free as I do, I have accomplished my purpose on earth.” My goal is to provide compassionate support and guidance to you. It is an honor to walk alongside you as you navigate your unique journey and find your own path.

Outside of my work, I am a mama’s girl and proud to be the last born of my sweet mother. I also enjoy traveling with my husband, being an aunty to my hilarious nieces and nephew, spending time with friends, and playing with my husky Nala. I’m a foodie at heart (rice is life) and love experiencing other cultures through culinary adventures—my hot take is that the best fried chicken is in Tokyo!

I’m also a nonprofit owner and community builder. I’m dedicated to creating spaces where people can connect, feel seen, and thrive.

I wear many hats, and I know what it’s like to juggle a million roles. I also know there is a world in which balance exists, and I want to help you find it.

Everyone has a story—I’d love to hear yours.
